So I was a real smart cookie and realized that both Bill Clinton and Barack Obama would be about an hour from me, in Kissimmee, FL. Only downfall? It started at 11 pm!!! Omg! So I am extremely tired but we went, and had a great time. My husband and a friend of his that he used to teach and is now in college went too.
This is me and Kristin and my husband who we convinced to wear my hat. It was unusually cold for Florida in October, but not really that cold.
Here we are waiting for it to start at 8:30 pm. Only 2.5 hours to go. Jimmy Smits spoke, and he mentioned a lot about the West Wing and spoke a lot in Spanish.
We got flags and signs right before the speaking began.
There were a lot of people in the crowd!
My heros!!!

I can't believe that you would be for someone who believes in killing babies. Apparently, you are not the person I thought you were.

I"m not sure who posted that since you did it anonymously. But, in my humble opinion, the election is not just about abortion rights. I am not for a party who lies to the public and starts an unjust war and kills soldiers and civilians. This isn't a black and white issue. But it is my perogative to choose who I vote for and it doesn't make me less of a person.

Rebecca:
I applaud you for your decision of who to vote for, and the reasoning you provided in your comment. This election is about more than just abortion issues. I don't know you personally, but am proud to see you attend the Obama rally and see you politely and responsibly defend your opinion here.
Anyone posting a comment like that to you, is not the person THEY think THEY are. Shame on you "anonymous" for assuming that you know anything about the kind of person rebecca is based on who she is voting for. What you posted in your comment says more about the kind of person YOU are --ignorant and uninformed.

anonymous - this country is all about freedom of expression and beliefs. Obviously, you feel very strongly about this issue, but those are YOUR beliefs. There's a way to express yourself politely without hurting other people's feelings. This is nasagreen's blog afterall, and she has a right to say and post what SHE wants on HER blog.

I apologize and you are right - it is your perogative to choose who you vote for, and it doesn't make you less of a person.
God already knows who will be President. No matter what the outcome is as a result of an election determined by humans, it is in God I place my trust.
An election can determine who will get elected to what office, but, ultimately, it is God who is in control.
May we all be eager to seek His guidance in all we do and say.
God Bless you and your family!!
